The Game Explained
District is a gang based table top skirmish game.
Each player picks there gang from the available listings and then with the use of twelve sided dice and tape measures plays out a scenario from the game guide, the one achieving the most points through their actions within the game is the winner.
About The Game:
The game is set a long time after the human race went forth to colonise the universe, after a few hundred years of building new cities and taking control of these new planets the worlds have settled down into a sort of normality.
Gangs have risen in the shadows of these worlds, each one trying to carve out its own regions with in them.
The player is in control of one of these gangs. An controls their path in an attempt to rise to power.
The game has no points system, it is designed around what each gang is able to take and what characters you can build. Each gang has a ruling house and these houses allow different weapons, armor and limits.
No gang is ever larger than 5 models, a leader and 4 varying characters under them, these can be tailored for different scenarios and game play styles. This is how the game is balanced.
Pre Game:
1st the players must choose the scenario they are going to play, you can do this through tables, or choose from the list, this really is up to the people playing the game.
Then you can pic your gangs, over time you will probably build several different gangs and have a pre designed list you like to play with.
You can also build campaign style lists which allow the characters to level up through time and give them access to better skills, weapons and armor.
Board Layout is also done pregame, the board is normal a two foot square, you can play on bigger sizes if you wish but this will make the game longer. Different board layout ideas exist with in the rule book, but you can layout the game board how you feel.
Once the board is laid out then follow the game instructions, defenders usually deploy to the board first and attackers second. You can alternate deployment as well if you wish, these ideas are covered in the game guide.

Post Game:
If you are playing a campaign game then you can now sort out Experience, and levels deal with injuries and damaged weapons or if its a one off you could just work out points and who won.
Your imagination is what brings you to the battle field.
